Lara Elhossaini

My name is Lara (she/elle), and I’m a Mental Health Counsellor at Dimensions Centre. I am a BSc Psychology student at the University of Ottawa. I’m passionate about creating spaces where young people feel safe, understood, accepted, and genuinely heard. I have years of experience working with neurodivergent children, teens, and young adults through mental health groups, community programs, and individual support. I really value getting to know each person as an individual and understanding what makes them feel comfortable, supported, and empowered. I believe that everyone communicates and experiences the world differently, and I strive to meet people where they are while helping them recognize and build on their own strengths. I’m especially passionate about mental health, neurodivergent-affirming care, and creating meaningful opportunities for connection and belonging. I’m so grateful to be part of the Dimensions Centre community and to have the opportunity to support young people as they navigate their own journeys!
